The ongoing cultural assaults against the historical truths of marriage and the family are very serious. They militate against these creations of the Creator. Whoever seeks to destroy them actually makes themselves enemies of God. This is a time like no other in history when His enemies are rising in power and influence.

Through the complementary logic of feminism and communism, marriage is seen not as a lifelong covenant of love, but as a form a servitude, even prostitution. Therefore women should leave their husbands and work to destroy the institution itself. The women’s liberation movement, and many governments, are out to destroy both marriage and the family. The people under such corrupt authority have little to no idea of the agenda.

Each couple’s marriage will always be vulnerable to the cultural assaults that come up against them if they do not know these things. Here is a small portion of what people should know about the evil at work in the world today.

Undermining Marriage

This essentially modern revolutionary activity of undermining marriage began with EngelsEngels, the co-author of the Communist Manifesto.

“The first class opposition that appears in history coincides with the development of the antagonism between man and woman in monogamous marriage, and the first class oppression coincides with that of the female sex by the male.” — Friedrich Engels, The Origins of the Family, Private Property and the State  (New York, International Publishers, 1942) p.58.

Feminist writers continue to express themselves explicitly in Marxist terms, such as a class struggle. A classic example of this is Robin Morgan’s quote:

RobinMorgan_Man-Hating

She, along with Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem, are the founders of the Women’s Media Center. A Declaration of Feminism (1971) calls for the abolition of marriage:

“Marriage has existed for the benefit of men and has been a legally sanctioned method of control over women … The end of the institution of marriage is a necessary condition for the liberation of women. Therefore, it is important for us to encourage women to leave their husbands, and not to live individually with men … Now we know it is the institution that has failed us and we must work to destroy it…”

ti-graceatkinsonMiss Ty-Grace Atkinson, former president of the National Organization of Women, seeks to “eliminate sex, marriage, motherhood, and love,” claiming that marriage is legalized servitude and that male-female relationships are the basis for all human oppression.”

“All the discriminatory practices against women are patterned and rationalized by this slavery-like practice [of marriage]. We can’t destroy the inequities between men and women until we destroy marriage.” (Sisterhood Is Powerful, Robin Morgan (ed), 1970, p. 537, emphasis added).

This destruction of marriage is exactly what Marx and Engels called for long ago (see below). Gloria Steinem has said that for the sake of those who wish to live in equal partnership, we have to abolish and reform the institution of legal marriage. These are attacks undermining marriage and the family.

Undermining the Family

Simone de Beauvoir was one of the most important communists behind the modern feminist vlcsnap-2014-07-14-12h02m55s64movement. She spoke the crucial idea that would inspire others after her, such as Judith Butler, that men and women are made, not born.

She also taught that women should not have the choice of staying at home and raising their own children.

No, we don’t believe that any women should have this choice. No women should be authorized to stay at home to raise her children. Society should be totally different. Women should not have that choice, precisely because if there is such a choice, too many women will make that one. It is a way of forcing women in a certain direction.

{“A Dialogue with Simone de Beauvoir,” in Betty Friedan, It Changed My Life: Writings on the Women’s Movement (New York: Random House, 1976), pp. 311–12}

VivianGornickFive years later, Vivian Gornick would say something very similar in America:

“Being a housewife is an illegitimate profession … the choice to serve and be protected and plan towards being a family-maker is a choice that shouldn’t be. The heart of radical feminism is to change that.” (University of Illinois, The Daily Illini, April 25, 1981)

Countless other such assaults on the institutions of marriage, family, and the love that makes them possible could be quoted. The language is consistently one of force and destruction. People really don’t believe that feminism and gender mainstreaming encompass the destruction of love, marriage, family, innocence, sexuality, and civilization as we know it.

These are the longed for goals of one of the most influential philosophers and political visionaries the world has ever seen. And that is Karl Marx.

In contradiction of all past historical experience

Certainly Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels would be happy with these developments; thrilled in fact, because he too sought to abolish eternal truths such as freedom and justice:

Abolition of the family! Even the most radical flare up at this infamous proposal of the Communists…[They will introduce] an openly legalized system of free love…There are, besides, eternal truths, such as Freedom, Justice, etc., that are common to all states of society. But communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religion, and all morality, instead of constituting them on a new basis; it therefore acts in contradiction to all past historical experience.” (Marx and Engels, “The Manifesto of the Communist Party,” published 1848)

Karl Marx, radical feminists, and the German government march in lockstep, it seems. If he could only turn over in his grave! Well, he would be smiling…

1933_Mein_KampfLooking back on the early twentieth century, people now see that Adolf Hitler laid forth his platform of action in Mein Kampf. When he did what he said he would do, people were surprised. He must have wondered why. If the feminist ideal overtakes us all, people will be surprised, not ever believing that such evil could be contemplated, let alone carried out. But it has been contemplated, it is being stated, and many are attempting to carry it out.

Hegel

As the German philosopher Hegel said, “What experience and history teach is this – that people and governments never have learned anything from history, or acted on principles deduced from it. (Hegel, G. W., Lectures on the Philosophy of History)

Feminism is then largely a Marxist analysis of history and society as a story of class struggle. As such it invites and relishing conflict with opposing views. Such conflict is the driving engine of change according to the dialectic of thesis–anti-thesis–synthesis that Marx adapted. In this day whoever controls the media puts the conflicts and the issues in the light they desire.

What response?

The nations are only as strong as their families, and their families are only as strong as their marriages. Cultures crumble if the family falls. We write this blog to tell you of not just our suffering at the hands of the German media, courts, and Jugendamt, but to warn you, dear reader, of what is coming upon the world.

So what is our response? All we can do is strive to be light and salt — a living witness of the Kingdom of God on earth. That is why we live together and share all things in common, as they did in Jerusalem long ago. Read Acts 2:42-47 to see what they had then. That is all we desire now.

There is ever growing darkness on this planet. We long for people to have a ray of hope — something to see and hear and be able to respond to from their hearts. There is a grave crisis facing humanity.  We are willing to suffer for upholding and obeying the Word of God.

But what will happen to those who passively watch their society, culture, family, and even their own children carried away? They do nothing, raise no voice of protest, as the historic truths their nation and every nation has been founded upon are carried away. How will they stand at the Judgment of all men and women?

Here is both what is happening to them and what they can do about it. From the article, “A Law Against Love“:

If the Foundations Are Destroyed, What Can the Righteous Do?

In Yahweh I take refuge; how can you say to my soul,
“Flee like a bird to your mountain, for behold, the wicked bend the bow;
They have fitted their arrow to the string to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
Yahweh is in His holy temple; Yahweh’s throne is in heaven;
His eyes see, His eyelids test, the children of men.
Yahweh tests the righteous, but His soul hates the wicked
And the one who loves violence. (Psalm 11:1-5)

We believe that there are many righteous people who do not agree with the perverse policies that are sweeping over the world in these fearful days, but whose voices are suppressed by the intimidating banner of political correctness. Our hope is that by speaking the simple and objective truth we can strengthen those who are “upright in heart” to listen to the voice of their conscience and not be swept away by the flood of evil.

Even more, we pray that many will see where the world is going and realize that their only real hope is to forsake their life in this world and come to be with us, in the Communities of the Twelve Tribes, where there is no law against love.
